Social-educational residential community on a farm with a psychotherapeutic focus

A social-educational residential community for children with special needs is to be built on the site of former residential buildings for agricultural workers.
The spatial concept for the Nikitsch residential community is, on the one hand, the embracing gesture of the
farm building. On the other hand, smaller residential groups (such as “houses within the house”) form a clearly legible structure through which the children and young people find their home in smaller, manageable spaces, both in their “residential group” and in the communal areas.
All rooms and living spaces have “living windows” facing the outside, the natural space, and the spaces between the “houses” offer open spaces in the transition between inside and outside.
